Saturday Class

This is a one day session for first offenders, including OWL. Program objectives are to:

• Understand rationale for laws covering use of alcohol and other drugs
• Overcome feelings of being victimized by the legal system
• Understand consequences of irresponsible use on themselves and others

Content and format are equivalent to "AHSE Level 1."

 

Four Session Series

An eight hour series for the more serious offender (high b.a.c., history of prior abuse, clients going into therapy). The sessions are participatory and introspective. They are designed to get participants to recognize the seriousness of substance abuse and to provide insight and encouragement to change. Emphasis is placed on the progressive nature of chemical dependency and changes required to avoid repeating the offense.
